Ashley has worked for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Southern Nevada as the Program Coordinator since October 2019. Prior to that she served as the Outreach Coordinator for Volunteers from July to September 2019. Ashley’s previous work experience is in Higher Education where she worked as the Leadership Development and Special Events Coordinator for Tennessee State University.
Ashley volunteers her time to NAMI SNV in several Program Leader roles including as a NAMI In Our Own Voice Presenter, NAMI Ending the Silence Presenter, NAMI Connection Recovery Support Group Facilitator, NAMI Family Support Group Facilitator, and NAMI Peer-to-Peer Teacher. She also serves as a NAMI NV State Trainer for NAMI Connection Recovery Support Group and NAMI NV CARES (Community Assistance for Recovery through Education and Support).
In the community, Ashley is a member of New Antioch Christian Fellowship, the Nevada Coalition for Suicide Prevention, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Las Vegas Branch 1111, Nevada Minority Health and Equity Coalition (NMHEC), Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and the Memphis Chapter of the Tennessee State University Alumni Association. Ashley is also a Companionship Instructor for Pathways to Promise.
