Captain Jason Glover Sr. grew up in Detroit, Michigan and moved to Florida to pursue higher education. He holds an Associate of Arts degree in Criminology and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. He is a proud father of two children.
Captain Glover began his career with the Leon County Sheriff’s Office in 2005 where he started as a Communications Officer. He then went on to work in Uniform Patrol before transferring to the Traffic Unit where he investigated traffic homicides, worked as a DUI Deputy and became a certified Drug Recognition Expert. He then moved to Criminal Investigations working in the Narcotics Unit until he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. As a Sergeant he supervised Uniform Patrol and the Narcotics Investigation Unit.
He was then promoted to Lieutenant and assigned to Uniform Patrol before later transferring to the Training Unit. He was promoted to the rank of Captain in 2024 and is currently assigned as Captain of the Youth Services Division.
Captain Glover holds numerous certifications as a criminal justice instructor. He serves as a member of the Hostage Negotiations Team, and Team Leader of the Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard. He served as Regional Director of the Florida Association of Hostage Negotiators and was a board member of the Florida Narcotics Officer’s Association. He has also attended and completed Certified Public Manager, Executive Leadership, and National Risk Management courses.
