Tom McDermott is the K-12 Safety & Security Coach at CEIA USA. Tom’s primary responsibility is to teach law enforcement and school districts how to detect and keep weapons off school campuses. Tom has more than 35 years of technology experience with most of it teaching in the security industry. Tom grew up in Chicago working in the nightclub business, where he first learned about security and the need for weapons detection. Tom now lives in Scottsdale Arizona, where he enjoys mountain biking and hiking, but still loves playing ice hockey.
