Mr. Samuel S. Wyatt is a visionary superintendent with 23 years of experience in the education sector. Focused on driving growth and improving student performance and implementing innovative safety and security measures to keep schools safe.
He is also a decisive leader and analytical problem-solver with a solid track record of success. Mr. Wyatt was instrumental in implementing the Guardian Program at Rankin ISD.
He was also selected as TASA ESC 18 Superintendent of the year in 2022 and a top 5 finalist for superintendent of the year in the state of Texas for the 2021-22 school year

Armed and Ready to Protect: A West Texas School Guardian Program Model
Rankin ISD has successfully implemented the guardian program in our district. This program allows for our staff and faculty to be armed at school to protect our staff and students when necessary. Our district has over 30 guardians in the district that are well trained and ready to respond if an active shooter event was to occur.
Participants will be exposed to how to implement an effective and safe guardian program at a public school.
