Kevin began his distinguished law enforcement career in 1991 in Florida, dedicating nearly three decades to public safety. He retired from the Miramar Police Department, where he served in a variety of roles, before assuming his current position as Chief of Police for the Broward County Schools Police Department, which oversees the safety of the sixth-largest school district in the United States.
Throughout his career, Kevin held numerous assignments, including roles in multiple patrol divisions, Youth Services, SWAT, the Special Operations Division, the Criminal Investigations Division, and the Training Division. His extensive experience in these areas reflects his commitment to both operational excellence and community safety.
Kevin retired from the Miramar Police Department in June 2020 and transitioned to his leadership role with the Broward County Schools Police Department, where he continues to make a significant impact on the safety and security of students and staff. Originally from the Buffalo, New York area, Kevin moved to Florida in 1989. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration and is a proud graduate of the Southern Police Institute (SPI) in Louisville, KY, where he completed the Command Officers Development Course (CODC) Class 67 and the Administrative Officers Course (AOC) Class 142. Kevin has been married to his wife, Ada, for 27 years, and together they have four children. His dedication to his family, community, and profession underscores his lifelong commitment to service and leadership.
