Meredith M. Rossi is an Epidemiologist with the Department of War, at the Defense Suicide Prevention Office since May 2024. Ms. Rossi is dedicated to reducing the tragedy of suicide in the military community through data-driven programs and policies, and a commitment to a public health approach that starts with data. She is an alumna of the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health with a Master of Public Health degree in Epidemiology, and a Bachelor of Science degree in International Health from Georgetown University. Ms. Rossi’s previous work on behalf of the DoW, CDC, and NASA includes conducting surveillance and data analysis of such specialized occupational populations as military Service members, astronauts and payload specialists, forestry workers, first responders to the September 11th terrorist attacks, Coast Guard responders to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, and others.
