Qualifications include: Clinical Professor UNSOM, Child/Adolescent Psychiatry Program; Certified Professional Counselor, Nationally Certified School Psychologist; Doctoral level Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Dr. Sexton has 40 years of experience working in public schools, providing direct support for students with significant mental health needs, and with communities and families that have been marginalized, and have limited access to mental health care. Dr. Sexton is currently Mental Health Programs Administrator for the Washoe County School District, Washoe County Nevada. Her work includes direct support for students, wraparound supports for families and students, and collaboration and advocacy at the community and state level to improve access to mental health care.
