Angelique Sedillo
STOP Grant Trainer & Public Relations Coordinator
Angelique has nineteen years working in education. She earned her Early Childhood Multi-Cultural (ECMC) degree and applied and it to leverage her positive influence on the community in which she worked and grew to love. Working with many grade levels, she found her passion in the home to school connections which enabled her to better serve the community.
She furthered her service to the entire South Valley after being elected as the Rio Grande Cluster Lead Education Professional by her peers. There she provided and coordinated professional development to educators within the cluster. As the years passed she became the liaison to her community. As a liaison she was the school support staff, she connected parents to resources needed between home and school to further students’ academic and social success. This position played a vital role to further increase parental involvement within the school and district. “Planting the seed early” is a great motto she has always followed and this motto has continued to drive her down the path of being a passionate public servant where she now is able to reach a broader and more diverse demographic.
She currently was a STOP grant trainer in the NM Office of the Attorney General and worked through the STOP (Students, teachers. Officers and Parents) grant that is to prevent or stop school violence. Her and Katherine have worked together for over ten years and have been presenting at school districts and schools throughout NM.
